Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Rose Valley – Dades Valley

  • Begin your Marrakech to Fes 4-day desert tour with an early pickup from your hotel, riad or Marrakech airport. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the spectacular Tizi n'Tichka Pass, stopping at scenic viewpoints along the way.
  • Continue to Ait Ben Haddou, the famous UNESCO-listed ksar, before travelling through Ouarzazate, Skoura and the beautiful Rose Valley. Arrive in Boumalne Dades in the late afternoon.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Erfoud – Merzouga – Camel Trek

  • After breakfast, continue through the Dades Valley towards the spectacular Todra Gorge. Enjoy a short walk between its towering red cliffs before travelling through the palm oases towards Erfoud.
  • Continue to Merzouga and Erg Chebbi, where you leave the vehicle behind for a camel trek across the golden Sahara dunes. Watch the sunset from the dunes before reaching your desert camp for dinner and traditional Berber music.

Day 3: Merzouga – Nomadic Family – Kohl Mine – Khamlia – Merzouga

  • Wake early to experience the spectacular Sahara sunrise, followed by breakfast at the camp. Return to Merzouga and continue with a 4x4 excursion around the Erg Chebbi desert.
  • Visit an old kohl mine and a local nomadic family, where you can enjoy Moroccan tea and learn about traditional desert life. Continue to Khamlia to experience its famous Gnawa music, then visit a palm grove and Merzouga Lake before returning to your hotel.

Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Cedar Forest – Ifrane – Fes

  • After breakfast, depart Merzouga and travel through Rissani and Erfoud before following the scenic Ziz Valley. Continue to Midelt for lunch, then cross the Middle Atlas Mountains.
  • Stop in the Cedar Forest, where you may see Barbary macaques, before continuing to Ifrane, known for its alpine-style architecture and often called the "Switzerland of Morocco." Continue to Fes for drop-off at your hotel, riad or airport.
