Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Draa Valley – M'Hamid – Erg Lihoudi

  • Depart Marrakech early in the morning and cross the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka Pass at approximately 2,260 metres. Continue to Ait Ben Haddou, the famous UNESCO-listed ksar, before a short stop in Ouarzazate.
  • Continue south through the beautiful Draa Valley, known for its extensive palm groves, ancient kasbahs and traditional villages. Pass through Zagora and continue to M'Hamid El Ghizlane, the gateway to the Sahara.
  • From M'Hamid, travel by 4x4 to Erg Lihoudi. After arriving at the desert camp, enjoy Moroccan mint tea before a camel trek across the dunes and a spectacular Sahara sunset. In the evening, enjoy dinner, Berber music and a campfire under the stars.
  • Overnight: Erg Lihoudi Desert Camp

Day 2: Erg Lihoudi – M'Hamid – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

  • Wake up early to admire the sunrise over the Erg Lihoudi dunes, followed by breakfast at the camp. Return by 4x4 to M'Hamid and begin the journey north through the Draa Valley, enjoying views of palm groves, kasbahs and traditional villages.
  • Stop for lunch in Ouarzazate or along the route before crossing the High Atlas Mountains once again via Tizi n'Tichka. Continue to Marrakech and arrive in the late afternoon or early evening
  • Drop-off: Your hotel or riad in Marrakech.
